Why Zach Miller Is Jason Campbell’s Top Target

According to coach Tom Cable, tight end Zach Miller will become a greater weapon in this year's passing attack.

Cable likes the chemistry between Miller and new quarterback Jason Campbell.

“I really like it with the whole group, but those two guys are really starting to develop something, for sure," Cable said. "You take him in the red zone; you need a touchdown in that situation. You saw who it went to."

Last week, Campbell found Miller twice on a two-minute drive, connecting once for a touchdown. The bond between Campbell and Miller will become very valuable to the Raiders offense during the season, hopefully creating a tie that we have not seen as Raiders fans since Jim Plunkett and Todd Christensen.

Those two, during their short time together, hooked up on scoring passing plays 20 times, and no player caught more touchdown passes from Plunkett than Christensen.

Last year, Campbell played for the Washington Redskins and oft connected with tight ends Chris Cooley and Fred Davis. Combined, they tallied 77 receptions, 841 yards, and eight touchdown passes.

Last season, Miller found the end-zone three times with 66 total catches for 805 yards.

The tie between this quarterback and his talented tight end will be spectacular to watch and develop.
