Terrelle Pryor: What to Expect from the Raiders Quarterback in Week 6

The suspension that has kept Terrelle Pryor off the field for five weeks is finally over, and many people are wondering what to expect from the former Ohio State player in Week 6.

As a person who has watched a lot of Ohio State football, I can say Pryor has developed from a speedster with a cannon into a true quarterback.  However, he is a long way from an NFL starter, so it is good he has time to learn and develop as current starter Jason Campbell has been pretty solid this season.

Campbell has been doing as well as Raider fans can expect him to, throwing for 223 yards a game with six passing touchdowns and four interceptions.  He doesn't make too many mistakes and completes 60.3 percent of his passes.  Campbell doesn't turn too many heads but gets the job done and is not in danger of losing his starting job.

While he may not get snaps at quarterback, Pryor is freakishly athletic, standing 6'5" and running a 4.36 40-yard dash, and could probably fit somewhere else in the lineup.  He is only 233 pounds, which makes some people's calls for him to be a tight end slightly unreasonable.  Pryor has a relatively lanky frame for a tight end, but could definitely get some playing time in at wide receiver.

Back in his Buckeye days Pryor lined up at receiver a few times in the red zone, catching three passes in his career, two for touchdowns.  Pryor was an All-Star basketball player during his time at Jeannette Senior High School and can use his extraordinary size and leaping ability to box out defenders in the red zone.

While Pryor could probably do wonders for Oakland's receiving corps, the Raiders probably don't want to risk an injury for their quarterback of the future.  You can expect Pryor to get some snaps at quarterback if the Week 6 matchup against the Browns turns out to be a blowout, but the Raiders might also have some plays in the playbook drawn up specifically for th...
