Terrell Owens a Point of Mild Interest for Oakland Raiders

The Terrell Owens rumor mill should begin heating up in the upcoming months, and it made an interesting, but not surprising point today.

This is about the Oakland Raiders showing some interest.

According to ESPN's John Clayton, the Raiders are having talks about free agent Owens "internally" but are not ready to make a move.

Rotoworld.com reports that Tom Cable was heard on the radio saying the team is not interested in Owens. However, many insiders believe this could be the first surprise move Al Davis makes if he signs the receiver.

Since becoming a free agent, Owens doesn't have many places to turn. He was originally rumored to be signing with the Bengals, but that possibility has been all but squashed.

If we go on the history of the Raiders the past few years, most would believe Owens could be a potential target for Oakland.

It will be interesting to see if anything is made out of this in the upcoming months.
