San Diego Chargers vs. Oakland Raiders: Live Score and Analysis for Oakland

After a disappointing first four games of the season, the Oakland Raiders headed into their Week 5 bye with an 0-4 record and plenty of questions. This led to Dennis Allen being fired after Week 4 and the promotion of Tony Sparano to interim head coach. Sparano has now been tasked with leading the Raiders to their first win of the season.

The biggest problem for the Raiders hasn't just been the losses but how they've lost. They've been embarrassed in two of the four losses, and they've been unable to develop any sort of rhythm on either side of the ball.

The goal every game day is to get a win. But for a team that's performed as poorly as Oakland has, the goal for now just to be competitive. This will be a tough task today as the Raiders face one of the NFL's hottest teams in the San Diego Chargers.

Oakland can't be expected to fix all of its problems in one game, but there are some areas that need to see immediate improvement. Against San Diego, the focus needs to be on establishing the run, stopping the run and getting to the quarterback.

If the Raiders can show improvement in these key areas, it'll be a good sign that the team is heading in the right direction.

Sparano has had two weeks to try and figure out a way to keep this season from completely getting away. Today, we'll get our first look at just how much of an impact he's had. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:05 pm ET from O.co Coliseum in Oakland.

Stay tuned for live updates, scores, news and more throughout the game.
