If these moves are true, they make a lot of sense.
Warren has been part of the problem with the running game; he has been in the league for 10 years. It appears that the Raiders are looking to go young on the inside. Coach Tom Cable has said he is looking to get stronger along the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. If Warren is released, you'd have to wonder if the Raiders will make a play for Alabama DT Terrence Cody in the second round if he is available.
If Fargas is released, that would make him another RB at the age of 30 to be released by a team this offseason. Fargas has been a Raider from day one, but injuries have limited his success with the Raiders. This move makes the most sense; currently the Raiders have a crowded backfield. This should allow Michael Bush and Darren McFadden to get the majority of the carries. Look for Bush to have a break out season rushing the ball, and McFadden to be used in the passing game while running more efficiently.
The Raiders are making moves and changes, and they all appear to be the right moves for the future of the franchise.
