The Oakland Raiders can do it. They can win the game. They can defeat the Houston Texans.
One young sports enthusiast who is cheering for the Texans told me he was going to watch the game on Sunday and then write his article. He said to beware of the numbers because the Oakland Raiders can defeat the Texans, even though he is a Texan fan.
Well, we are anticipating a game where capability is matched with execution.
Let's hope the Raiders minimize getting penalties and maximize getting points.
Rolando McClain should keep doing what he has been doing. The other players have got to put their whole heart into the game, too.
Whatever distractions caused Sebastian Janikowski to miss that field goal, in this game may those things be eliminated.
The blunder of last week may have affected ticket sales this week. Jerrymcd said in a text message, "Texans-Raiders not sold out? Raiders blacked-out again and likely to be blacked-out all season..."
That's not a good projection.
So, come hell or high water, the Oakland Raiders have got to get it together this week.
We expect Bruce Gradkowski to get his teammates fired up.
We expect Tom Cable to do the right thing.
We definitely expect Hue Jackson to live up to his reputation of being a very good and hard-hitting offensive coordinator.
Go Raiders, and get your act together!
