Personally, I think that Chris Johnson and Nnamdi Asomugha is the best CB combo in the NFL. Michael Bush and Darren McFadden COULD be the best running back tandem. (I emphasize could because the Raiders haven't had a coach in seven years.)
Thomas Howard is by far and away the fastest Linebacker in the NFL (possibly ever). He ain't no slouch when it comes to the hitting either (see Darren Sproles). Richard Seymour is so good he can all but guarantee sacks in his first game as a Raider, with no practice time.
Louis Murphy is a cagey, fiery young receiver with a killer instinct and big play ability who made some of the most memorable plays for Oakland in 2009. DHB is possibly the fastest WR in the league, and is constantly getting held by would-be defenders, despite his tendency for dropping passes.
Tyvonn Branch can cause extreme cases of Alligator arms on contact. He lead NFL safeties in tackles last season. Mike Mitchell seems to have some sort of heat-seeking device attached to his helmet. He "flies" to the ball like a pile of dung.
Zach Miller caught everything but the swine flu last year, and is the Raiders' most consistent offensive threat year after year. Rookie Rolando McClain has been compared to the best linebacker in the history of football (Ray Lewis) with his awesome instinct and leadership abilities. Nnamdi Asomugha is arguably the best CB in the league.
But with all these super talented players, the Raiders still can't win. What is it? Is it coaching, or is it the trenches? Most of the positions I named are at skill positions. It's no secret that the Raiders have been exceptionally weak on both lines of scrimmage over the past seven years, and there is still doubt and instability with the O-line.
