Oakland Raiders: Room for Improvement, Starting with Victory After Bye Week

Most of us believe in taking challenges one step at a time. This applies to the progress of the Oakland Raiders.

After doing a little research, there is evidence of a problem in the performance of the Raiders after bye weeks. When you compare them with other teams in the AFC West, you see they rank below all of the other teams when you focus your attention on bye week.

This must change.

On Nov. 6, we expect a victory after bye week for more than one reason.

First, a victory over the Broncos would help heal the despair caused by the loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Next, the victory would be an indicator that there are marked improvements in the consistency and effectiveness of the Raiders, especially after bye week.

Injuries can be a reason for some teams not performing well after the bye week. The reasons may extend to off-field behavior as well as coaching and other variables. This issue needs to be researched.

The Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Oakland immediately after its bye week. Some believe the Raiders' poor performance in the game against the Chiefs may have been clouded by other complex issues affecting the team.

Adjustment to a new quarterback and injuries of key players also contributed to the substandard performance in the game with the Chiefs.

One thing is expected on Nov. 6: victory. We expect the Raiders to be victorious over the Denver Broncos.

Just win, baby! It must be done.
