Oakland Raiders Prepare For Battle Without Key Players Asomugha and Miller

Pro Bowl cornerback Nnamndi Asomugha and TE Zach Miller are both sidelined with foot injuries and will be unable to war it out with the Kansas City Chiefs this Sunday. What does this mean for the Oakland Raiders who are coming off back to back wins with the talents of both players?

Replacements are said to be Chris Johnson and Brandon Myers. Who is Brandon Myers was my first question?

TE Brandon Myers is in his second year and basically has had no play this season. Brandon Myers is 6"4" and weighs around 250 lbs. The Oakland Raiders may actually have an advantage here in that they can get some balls thrown to Myers as the Chiefs will not be expecting passes his way.

Next is the game without the Raiders CB Nnamndi Asomugha. Chris Johnson is a decent CB and although he was burned a few times last season he should do well against KC .

Coach Tom Cable must imprint into the minds of the secondary to not let a KC WR ever get behind them. Both Tyvon Branch and Michael Huff should do well to cover in case either CB gets beat.

The Kansas City Chiefs as not going to be an easy win in any manner. They also possess a duo of RBs i.e. Thomas Jones and Jamaal Charles. I am looking forward to Rolando McClain handling either of those two. A body slam?

The Oakland Raider DEFENSE will take care of the run from the start of the game. The defense has had the opportunity to "tune up" its skills against RBs Steven Jackson, Arian Foster and Chris Johnson. They in fact played well, but not good enough to seal the holes.

The past two games have proved that the Silver and Black defense is ready to roll, thats Rock and Roll over some Chiefs!

Jason Campbell has definitely improved and although Bruce Gradkowski is the starting QB it was wise to allow Campbell to start this game against the Chiefs. Jason Campbells timing has improved and hopefully ...
