Oakland Raiders: Marcel Reece Is a Legitimate Playmaker

Marcel Reece just may be one of the most underrated players in the NFL.

Not only that, but according to an SB Nation blog, just last week ESPN named him one of the AFC's most versatile players.

Reece is a threat both running and receiving the football.

In 12 games during the 2011 season, the Raiders fullback caught 27 receptions for 301 yards. Nothing jaw-dropping, of course, but an excellent encore to his previous season with 25 receptions for 333 yards.

The past two years he also has averaged five yards per carry—again, nothing special, but an excellent third option behind what was Darren McFadden and Michael Bush. With Bush now gone, look for Reece to have an expanded role in the running game and showcase his true talent. He may even take some snaps at tailback.

His 73-yard touchdown reception against the Broncos is just one example of the incredible talent in the Raiders fullback.

He is an electrifying playmaker and one that catches opposing defenses off-guard because of the ease in neglecting to game-plan for a fullback.

Watch out for Marcel Reece, because what he lacks in blocking ability he makes up for in other parts of the offense. He helps create a more balanced attack and is another option for quarterback Carson Palmer.

And for the Madden 12 players out there, put this guy at tight end: His rating jumps to 86.

It's one of my best-kept secrets but here I am sharing it with you. And yes, I have killed opposing defenses with it.
