Oakland Raiders: Hue Jackson Is Confident On the Winning Side

The media conducted a recent interview with Hue Jackson, the offensive coordinator with the Oakland Raiders.

Articulate and confident were two words to describe his presentation.

One thing stuck out in the interview. Jackson does not care to compare this year's Oakland Raiders with the players of last year. He emphasizes that there is an almost completely new set of players on the Oakland Raiders team.

He stressed, "What we do from this point on" is what counts.

Continuing to look from left to right, and obviously looking the media representatives in their eyes, he described both he and Tom Cable as coaches with a flare.

He stressed that versatility and variety are important. Whatever it takes to win is what Jackson wants the team to do.

"I'm really excited about where we're headed," Jackson said of the Raiders. His demeanor exuded confidence. It was good to hear how positive Jackson is about the future of the team.

He wants to put the players in the best positions to have success. He gave an example of his quarterbacks, Jason Campbell and the others.

He said, "Last year was last year. It really doesn't matter to me."

Jackson's main focus seems to be to get the players to be the best that they can be.

He seems to be a man who loves what he does. His job satisfaction is high at this point and, no doubt, it's going to get even better as the Oakland Raiders get back on the "winning side."

"The Raiders are supposed to win."
