Oakland Raiders: Can They Salvage the Season Under Tom Cable?

Tom Cable's Oakland Raider's were pathetic in Tennessee on opening day. Basic Cable has been excused for his incapacity at the expense of the team and Raider Nation by scapegoating certain players. His team has no rhythm or leadership and they are ill prepared and highly predictable week in and week out.

The Raider's don't have anyone else to blame but Cable, whom was supposed to be an O-line Guru when he arrived in Oakland three years ago. The offensive line was atrocious once again despite the quarterback in Tennessee. Gallery is still penalty prone, Henderson is too slow for the ends, and Veldheer made a ton of mistakes as rookie, which is to be expected, I guess.

To be fair, Hue Jackson did not have a great showing either. Much like last season, the Raiders are unable to threaten tall three levels of the defense as the short passing game was relegated to McFadden dump offs. Still no crossing routes or drags.

The Raider's featured Yamon Figurs like he was T.O. in his prime. Murphy dropped a TD (whats new?) And I keep on forgetting that Heyward Bey is on the team. Who else thought that Bush should have played with a cast on his thumb? There is no more "wait it out" for the Raiders which I'm sure is what Cable will say when asked to comment on Raider injuries.

I can't say that I am mad because I clearly predicted all of this, much to the dismay of Raider Nation. Raider fans will have to put their tails between their legs Monday morning at work because there is no more Russell to blame. I hope that Bruce Gradkowski will save the Raiders again. He's the only hope.
