Oakland Raiders Bully the San Diego Chargers to Even Record

Bullies don't like it when someone stands up to them. The San Diego Chargers once again proved this yesterday while being thoroughly dominated by the Oakland Raiders.

One only has to look at the rushing statistics to see how this game played out. The Raiders out-rushed the Chargers 251-21.

The same Charger team who enjoyed bullying a depleted Colts team last week found the going a little tougher against a Raider team that not only showed up for, but actually took the fight to them.

This game was never in doubt as the Raiders defense sacked Philip Rivers four times and harassed him on numerous other occasions. It was a nice team win for the Raiders.

So what does this mean going forward?

The Raiders continue to be a team that would make Forest Gump proud. Life is like a box of chocolates you know.

When playing their "A" game the Raiders are capable against most anybody. When they don't, it's downright ugly.

One thing is certain: If the Raiders run the football like they did yesterday, the results will take care of themselves.

Pounding the rock and getting efficient quarterback play from Jason Campbell works. Now let's see if the Raiders can make it back to back road wins next week in Jacksonville.

This division is still there for the taking. Kansas City was lucky to beat Denver yesterday, and I can see them losing three of their last four. If the Raiders can win out, it's playoff time.

Just win baby!
