Oakland Raiders Bad Boys: What You Gonna Do When The Broncos Come After You?

Here I go again trying to put a positive spin on things. I just believe the Oakland Raiders can pull themselves together and outwit the Denver Broncos.

There has got to be a way to get out of this hole, which, by the way, is a dark place to be.

The Denver Broncos are rivals of the Oakland Raiders. Wouldn't it be nice, or better, great, for the Raiders to work so hard, think so hard that they protect the quarterback.

It's no fun to see the Raiders quarterback, either Bruce Gradkowski or Jason Campbell, running for their lives, trying to find a safe spot to aim and throw the football to someone in the right place to receive it.

It would be even better to see that once the ball or projectile is released that it lands in hands that can hold on to the ball.

Let's look at the arithmetic of the situation. There are 16 games. The Oakland Raiders have played six of them with a 2-4 win-loss record. There are 10 more games to be played in the future. In order to get that 8-8 record, which, in my opinion, was a modest projection, the Oakland Raiders must win six more games, at least.

This leaves room for only two losses from this point on. Well, the truth is there could be four more losses but I don't even want to think about that!

Now a remarkable observation is that the record, at this same time in 2009, was 2-4, with only two wins and four losses.

Look at the data from Pro Football Reference website.
