Chad Johnson, who was released by the Miami Dolphins after being arrested Saturday night for domestic abuse, happens to be a serviceable wide receiver.
Oh by the way, Carson Palmer is the quarterback in Oakland.

Chad Johnson was never a Hall of Fame receiver, but he definitely put up decent numbers for several years with Carson Palmer as his quarterback. From 2004-2010, Johnson had three seasons with over 90 catches. Johnson went over 1,400 yards receiving in both 2005 and 2007.
Though Johnson basically did nothing last year as a member of the New England Patriots, he could still be a solid possession receiver who could give you the occasional big play. He could bring veteran leadership to a team filled with young receivers.
Reuniting Johnson with his former quarterback may be exactly what he needs. The two are familiar with each other and could work to find the chemistry they once had.
While Oakland has tried to change its image lately, let's face it—they are still thought of as the "Bad Boys Club" of the NFL. This option may not even be on the radar for the Oakland ownership. However, from a pure football sense, it's something the Raiders should look into.
If Johnson signs with another team, he will likely serve a suspension for breaking the NFL Code of Conduct policy.
