Oakland Raider Fans Want Donovan McNabb In the Sliver and Black In 2010

Regardless of the reports on ESPN, I don't believe any of it; until I hear Al Davis speak on the subject nothing in my book is official.

I don't care what Adam Schefter, Mike Florio, Michael Lombardi, Can Innman, or Tim Kawakami have to report on the Oakland Raiders; all of these guys are only giving their opinions. None of them speak to Al Davis, therefore anything they report isn't valid.

Al Davis is a triple OG mob boss tycoon, in that he never shows his cards until the deal is final. Nobody knows weather he's going after Donovan McNabb or not, but one thing we do know is that Al Davis is 81 years old and his team is on a current seven year losing streak.

We also know Al Davis history when it comes to getting players he wants, so believe that if Al Davis wants Donovan McNabb then Al Davis will get McNabb and nothing will stop him.

The Oakland Raiders fan base is sick and tired of losing, and so is Al Davis. Getting Donovan McNabb would be huge for our franchise: not only does it gives us a veteran leader to command the offense, but Mcnabb's marketability in terms of filling the staduim with fans is huge.

This is a once-in-a-lifetime chance to add a 33 year old Donovan McNabb to our franchise; Donovan is such a great player and to add him only for a second round pick would be a major steal. I'm sure there will be more to the deal, but if were able to add McNabb and keep Nnamdi Asomugha then we must do this deal.

There are however, several negatives to bringing in McNabb, which I'm sure Al Davis is doing his research on as well; a deal like this can't be rushed.

To me, the two major negatives are

1) Will we have the power to franchise tag Donovan McNabb next year? I believe if we make this deal then we need to know weather or not the new CBA agreement will have the franchise tag in it.

2) If we aren't, I would want to ...
