NFL Week 14 Preview: Can the Oakland Raiders Build Off Their Upset Win?

The Oakland Raiders travel to Jacksonville in Week 14 to take on the Jaguars in a pivotal matchup in the AFC playoff picture.

The Raiders are coming off a huge AFC West victory in Week 13 when they handled the San Diego Chargers 28-13. This was a big win for the Raider Nation who were losers of two straight prior to their completion of a sweep of the Chargers—their first sweep since 2001.

The Raiders running game was nonexistent in Weeks 11 and 12, but they rediscovered their strength, rumbling for 251 yards on the ground in their upset victory.

The Raiders will need to use the same game plan this Sunday against the Jaguars, the 17th ranked rush defense.

Although Raiders' strength is running the football, the passing game might find success this Sunday.

The Jaguars are 27th against the pass so if the Raiders use a heavy dose of Darren McFadden and Michael Bush, it will open up a lot of passing lanes for Jason Campbell.

Campbell played mistake-free football and made big plays when his number was called in Week 13.

Despite the Jaguars weakness against the pass, if the Raiders want to win their second straight game, they must stick to their strengths which is running the ball down the opposing defense's throat.

The key to the Raiders' win in Week 13 was getting pressure on Philip Rivers, which whom they sacked four times.

Pressure will be key this Sunday as Jaguars' quarterback David Garrard is known to scramble and make plays with his feet.

This is a big game for the Raiders who are trying to keep up with division leading Kansas City Chiefs, who remain two games ahead of the Raiders and Chargers.

The remainder of the season is going to be interesting for the Raiders because they go to Kansas City for the last game of the season, which could be the deciding game for the AFC West division.
