Yes, this was needed for both sides. Campbell had no chance in Washington, with that team in such a mess at the time. He had a lame duck head coach, Jim Zorn, and was beaten to a pulp thanks to the offensive line. JaMarcus Russell maybe in the biggest bust in NFL history, enough said.
2. Will Darren McFadden and Darius Heyward-Bey reach there potential this season?
Heyward-Bey can't catch the ball so he will not reach the number seven pick status. McFadden may not be as good as Michael Bush, but will be more productive.
3. Will the additions of John Henderson and Rolando McClain instantly revive Oakland's defense?
Yes, you've got Richard Seymour and John Henderson anchoring a now strong defensive line. Henderson should help the run defense which was terrible last season. Thomas Howard will compete with Trevor Scott for the weak outside linbacker spot. McClain is now the centerpiece of this defense, while Kamerion Wimbley gets his second chance with Oakland. Nnandi Asomugha locks down one side of the field, while Chris Johnson is developing into a serivicable corner. Stanford Routt will play as the nickel back. Both Tyvon Branch and Michael Huff had very good seasons last year at the two saftey spots.
4. Can the Raiders win more than five games for the first time since 2002?
They improved so much this offseason, they must win more than five games. I love the addition of Campbell and the moves they made on defense. I don't think they'll be in last place in the division this season.
5. Record?
8-8, second in the AFC West
This idea originated from ESPN's Mike & Mike. Here is a link to Mike & Mike's page on ESPN.com, you can check out their opinion on the Raiders. Later today, I'll preview my last team of the week, the Philadelphia Eagles.
