NFL Odds Week 17: Oakland Raiders at Kansas City Chiefs

The Kansas City Chiefs will look to make it a perfect 8-0 at home this season when they host the Oakland Raiders in the final week of the NFL regular season. With the Chiefs' 34-14 win at home over Tennessee and the San Diego Chargers' 34-20 loss at Cincinnati, the Chiefs clinched the AFC West title for the first time since 2003.

Oakland lost, 31-26, at home against the Colts, and are now just 2-4 in their last six games. The Raiders will have a chance to become the first team to go undefeated in division play and not make the playoffs if they can beat the Chiefs for a second time this weekend.

Oakland beat Kansas City, 23-20, in overtime back in week 9. If you are thinking about betting on the game this weekend, the current NFL odds have the Chiefs favored by 3.5-points over the Raiders at home.

The Raiders came out of their bye tied with the Chiefs at 5-4, and were technically in first place because they had just beaten the Chiefs, but lost back-to-back games against the Steelers and Dolphins, while the Chiefs won easily against Arizona and Seattle.

The Raiders finished the year just 2-8 against opponents outside of the AFC West, and really, all they have to play for this weekend is to finish the year at 8-8 and avoid their eighth-straight losing season.

In the first meeting with the Chiefs, Jacoby Ford made his presence felt for the first time this season, with a 94-yard kickoff return for a touchdown and a 47-yard catch in overtime that set up the game-winning field goal.

Ford finished the game with six catches for 148 yards. Jason Campbell completed 19 of 33 for 229 yards with a touchdown and an interception.

You have to wonder how seriously the Raiders are going to take this game, and what it really comes down to is whether they care if they finish the year with a losing record. Not only that, but they could ...
