NFL 2011: Oakland Raiders/Lottery Tickets Is a Creative Venture

There are many NFL teams who have a partnership with the lottery in their state. In Ohio, the Cincinnati Bengals and the Cleveland Browns have their names attached to the lottery. It is a good marketing strategy, too.

The Oakland Raiders and the California lottery joined in a partnership September 1, 2010. The money helps with education, so the Oakland Raiders' name helps California with education.

A math class in Texas did a project, showing the mathematics and statistics in the lottery game in the United States. Some consider the lottery as a sport, so the partnership with the NFL teams makes a lot of sense.

The students got excited when I told them that there is mathematics in everything, including the NFL and the lottery. As usual, I had to connect what I do with my favorite team, the Oakland Raiders. There seem to be two levels of winning on the scratch game with the Oakland Raiders' name on it. Either you win cash or you get other things like tickets, and more.

There are so many ways to generate money around the Oakland Raiders. The recent name change of the stadium is probably another way to generate money and interest in the team.

Overstock.com Stadium doesn't sound that cool, but it will probably generate money and interest in the games during the 2011 season. Let's hope so. Let's just say that Overstock.com is taking a chance and they hope to win by attaching their corporate name to the stadium.

The draft starts today. That's another type of lottery. Teams are going to grab players and they hope they don't grab a "bust."  Let's just hope Al Davis and Hue Jackson have the chips fall right for them to strengthen the team.

Go Raiders! Your chances of winning more games is good in 2011.
