Mock Draft: Oakland Raiders Go Big Early

In the NFL draft the Oakland Raiders seem to be one of the most unpredictable teams. But given the teams drafting history it is known that they have a nack for drafting players who they invite to private workouts or show interest in prior to the draft. Last year Darius Hayward-Bey, Michael Mitchell and Louis Murphy were all invited to private workouts at the Raider facility and they were all drafted. So far this year the Raiders have shown interest or invited a few prospects to the facility thus far. Mike Kafta, Northwestern. OL: Matthew Tennant , Boston College. Maurkice Pouncey , Florida. Marshall Newhouse ,TCU. Nic Richmond, TCU. Kevin Haslam, Rutgers. WR and RS: Golden Tate, Michigan. Leroy Vann, FAMU. Trent Guy, Lousiville. RB: Curtis Steele, Memphis LB: Jamar Chaney, Mississippi State. Dekoda Watson, FLorida. Jerry Hughes, TCU. DB: LB/S Stevie Brown, Andrew Sandejo, Rice. Chad Jones, LSU DL: Tyson Alualu, Cal. Daniel Te'o-Nesheim, Washington. Though this list is likely incomplete a few things stick out. In 2004 the Raiders drafted two offensive linemen; Robert Gallery and Jake Grove. In the five years that followed they only drafted two; Chris Morris and Mario Henderson. It is also interesting the Raiders showed interest in two three QBs considering they have three or four QBs on the roster and are "repor...
