Jason Campbell, Fiancee Call Off Wedding Hours Before Ceremony

It was supposed to be a storybook wedding in the Dominican Republic surrounded by friends and family.

Instead, due to personal reasons, Oakland Raiders quarterback Jason Campbell and his fiancée Jenny Montes have decided to "hold off" on the wedding, according to The Washington Post.

There were rumors that Campbell walked away just moments before the wedding, but in a conversation with Kate Longworth of CSN, he said it was not in his character to do something like that and that the decision was mutual.

Spoke w/ #JasonCampbell re: some 'wedding rumors' he denied leaving his fiancé at the alter, saying it's not in his character to do that

— Kate Longworth (@KLongworthCSN) February 21, 2012 It's anyone's guess when things were ultimately called off, but we do know that Jacoby Ford and Louis Murphy were in the wedding party and didn't return until today. As for everyone else, they probably didn't get a compensation package for their expensive stay in the Dominican Republic.

Considering all he's been through in his career, it's safe to say Raider fans and NFL fans alike are wishing Jason and his fiancée the best going forward.
