JaMarcus Russell Will Hopefully Find Himself Sacked by a Redskin One More Time

The brief rise and sickeningly quick fall of JaMarcus Russell has been documented well enough.

I must admit, I was wrong when I wished we had selected Brady Quinn first overall in 2007, but I wasn't completely wrong.

I have never been a fan of Russell, although when he joined the team, I pulled for him every week.

It became painful to watch Raider games and, at times, I feared for the safety of my T.V. screen.

I made the mistake of ordering NFL Sunday Ticket, just so that I could watch as JaMarcus ruined any chance I had at happiness week in and week out.

But now, Jason Campbell has joined us. One can hope that with this news, the imminent report of JaMarcus Russell's release is soon to come.

I was immediately pleased with the acquisition of Jason Campbell, but with each day that passes without the release of Russell, I fear that the Raiders could once again be putting up a smoke screen.

My reoccurring nightmare is that Russell remains on the team, and Campbell goes down with an injury in the preseason.

I'll make a bold proclamation right here and now.

I will watch the preseason, and reserve the right to change my mind, but if JaMarcus Russell starts a game for the Oakland Raiders this year, I will not watch.

I refuse to witness this waste of green-backs take a hippo-dump on my high hopes.

So as always Raider Nation, let’s keep our Commitment to Excellence, and I'll maintain my commitment to never seeing Russell play another game in the Silver & Black.

Just Win Baby!!!
