Hue Jackson: The Oakland Raiders Are “Chasing Perfection” Under the Fiery Coach

"Chasing perfection" is a phrase that stood out in the interview of Hue Jackson on www.raiders.com.

It sounds aggressive. It is focused. It communicates a serious intent to get it right.

The positive comments of Jackson indicate that he is a man who knows what he wants. Even though it may have taken him 25 years to get there, he said, "I was born to do this."

The statement indicates that he is a man who clearly knows his purpose. He did not waver in his confidence during the video. You could feel his strength and focus coming through, like the fire that so many say that he has.

When asked "Who influenced him?" he answered, without equivocation, "Me."

The respect that he has for Al Davis shines through, too.

He spoke of the vision and expectations of Davis and he seems to be the man who will come up with a process to reach or "chase toward the goal of perfection or excellence" that Davis has.

Jackson made it clear that the Oakland Raiders must stop the quarterback of any and every opposing team.

He spoke of explosive plays and the fire that will be needed to get the job done right.

He seems to be a man in the right place, at the right time demonstrating that he is, indeed, the man for the job. He asserted, that there is "No question that I am..."

The overflowing confidence and fire of Hue Jackson will certainly spill over into the lives of the players.

Go Raiders!
