Five Reasons Why the Oakland Raiders Will Be AFC West Champs

1. Replace Russell

The Trade for Jason Campbell has already paid huge dividends. And Campbell is ready to prove that he is a top tier quarterback.

2. Rebuilding the run defense

Defensive coordinator John Marshall, defensive line coach Mike Waufle, linebackers coach Mike Haluchak and secondary coach Lionel Washington knew they had to make significant changes in the off-season.

The additions of John Henderson and rookie Roland McClain was a massive upgrade.

Besides a 89-yard touchdown run by Chicago's Matt Forte, the run defense has looked great in the first two preseaon games.

3. Figuring out the running backs rotation

Two words: Michael Bush.

One number: 4.8 yards per rush

Equals= A bullying-running game

4. The offensive line

Robert Gallery is healthy. Jared Veldheer is trying out for center. And Mario Henderson is looking like the Super Mario version 2008.

5. Pass Rush?

Kamerion Wimbley, LaMarr Houston, and Matt

Shaughnessy have combined for eight sacks in two games.
