Fantasy Football Week 13 Wide Receivers: Who To Pickup, Drop and Ignore

Fantasy playoff time is upon us. 

Most fantasy leagues are only a week or two away from that time of year you've all been waiting for.  With the unpredictable 2010 NFL season, Week 13 may very well determine if you make the cut or just fall short.  One league I'm in, for example, has only seen two teams clinch, with seven teams vying for the remaining four playoff slots.  Week 13 will decide things for all of them.

Here are the wide receivers that might be on your radar as we head into this important fantasy football week.

 

Pickups

Jacoby Ford, Oakland Raiders

Looks like the Raiders have a star as Ford makes his second appearance in this column.

On Sunday, Ford ran the opening kickoff for 101 yards and a touchdown.  Later, he also caught four balls for 108 yards and another touchdown.  After the game he saved a school bus from falling off a bridge and stopped a comet that was threatening the planet.

Ford is still out there in 86 percent of Yahoo! leagues.  No need for a further test drive of this particular Ford; buy him right off the lot.

 

Davone Bess, Miami Dolphins

Bess was a solid performer most of this year, yet saw a lot of drops over the past two weeks.

On Sunday, Bess caught six passes for 111 yards.  If you are in a league that saw him dumped, consider grabbing him off the wire.

Bess is available in 66 percent of Yahoo! leagues.

 

Jason Avant, Philadelphia Eagles

In need of another WR that could put up good numbers?  Avant is likely available.

On Sunday, Avant caught eight passes for 83 yards.  He's also had some other decent outings this season.
