Averaging a league-worst 41,000 fans per game, the Raiders continue to take baby steps in repairing their image over the past decade.
You've heard the match-ups. You know it's going to be a battle between the two top running teams in all the land. You may ask yourself, what other match-ups will define the outcome of this game?
Kansas City outside linebacker Tamba Hali against a young Raiders offensive line
Rookie linemen Jared Veldheer and Bruce Campbell have been solid in their transition to the quick NFL tempo. The underrated Kansas City defense will be yet another stepping stone in their rapid growth.
Samson Satele seems to be healthy, and if so, he will step in to play center, allowing Veldheer to be at left tackle. Mario Henderson takes a seat if this is the case Sunday.
The result?
Oakland has used this offensive line setup the last two weeks, resulting in a dominating 567 yards on the ground, and 92 points on the scoreboard.
The Chiefs aggressive 3-4 defense features OLB Tamba Hali, who comes into Sunday with seven sacks. Safe to say, the blitz pick-up will be something to keep your eye on when Jason Campbell is behind center.
KC also boasts relatively unknown role player, defensive end, Wallace Gillberry. Playing only on in the nickel package, Gillberry has racked up an attractive seven-and-a-half sacks over the last 22 games.
McFadden calls for fans to wear all black
In an ironic twist, Darren McFadden told a bay area newspaper he'd like for the fans to wear all black, even though the Raiders have already been doing a blackout--just on television, not in the stands.
