2011 NFL Schedule: Oakland Raiders to Open Season on MNF Against Denver Broncos

Raider Nation, rejoice!

The NFL has announced the 2011 schedule, and the Oakland Raiders are set to kick off their season on Monday Night Football for the third consecutive year.

The Silver and Black will travel to Denver to play the hated Broncos at 7:15 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 12 in a Week 1 AFC West battle.

If 2010 is any indication, the matchup with the Broncos should give the Raiders an excellent chance to open the season with a win for the first time since 2002.

Last year, the Silver and Black Attack dominated the Broncos, outscoring their hapless division rivals 98-37 in two convincing victories.

The Broncos/Raiders game will be the second matchup of ESPN's Monday Night doubleheader, immediately following the conclusion of the Patriots/Dolphins AFC East showdown.

Stay tuned to this thread as I reveal the Raiders' full schedule, with predictions for the 2011 season.
