2010 NFL Draft: Who the Oakland Raiders should Select

First, the Raiders should trade down and get another second or third round pick. Al Davis should draft left tackle Bruce Campbell, who has the speed and strength to match up with any defensive end or linebacker.

In the second round we should pick up a defensive tackle. Cam Thomas, Terence Cody, Brian Price, and Geno Atkins all fit the bill. With that second pick acquired from trading the first round pick, Davis should draft offensive lineman Vladamir Ducasse, who has the speed, strength, and skill to be the other guard. Different choices to consider here are John Jerry, the massive guard from ole Miss, Mitch Petrus, who had a whopping 45 reps on the bench press; They are all capable of filling in at the right guard spot.

Then, David should pick either Pat Angerer or Brandon Spikes to put a stop to other teams running up the middle, because Kirk Morrison can't stop the run. We also need a center; Mathew Tennant is the smart choice. After that we should pick up Myron Rolle, who should then transition to CB. He should be smart enough to not get burned all the time like Chris Johnson or Stanford Routt.

Al Should then pick Jevan Sneed, who had difficulty last year because he lost his best supporting players. Finally, in the seventh round, John Connor is the obvious pick. He will be the lead blocker for Darren McFadden, who can then finally live up to his potential.
