Vanessa Bryant Won’t Affect Kobe Bryant Like Elin Nordegren Did Tiger Woods

One can't help but notice the similarities between Los Angles Lakers star Kobe Bryant and golfing superstar Tiger Woods in his prime.

Many consider Bryant to be the best basketball player on earth since Michael Jordan, and one look at his impressive resume really goes a long way in backing that statement up.

He has career averages of 25.3 points, 4.7 assists and 5.3 rebounds per game, but those only go so far in explaining Kobe.

He's known as one of the most clutch people on the planet and can literally take over and win a game all by himself.

If that's not enough, the five NBA championships, 13 All-Star selections, eight first-team All-NBA selections or two scoring titles should do the trick.

There was a point in time where Woods was considered the best ever at his respective sport as well, only behind golfing legend Jack Nicklaus.



He's racked up an astonishing 14 majors wins as a professional, which includes three U.S. Opens, three British Opens, four PGA's and four Masters. 

There was no doubting that Woods was the best golfer in the world, and he displayed many of the same qualities as Kobe. He was clutch, and he was absolutely ruthless on the course, but then it all came crumbling down.

Tiger and his wife Elin Nordegren divorced in 2010 because of a sex scandal that linked Woods to multiple mistresses, forced him to withdraw from the golfing world, checked in to sex rehab, lost sponsors, and effectively derailed his career.

Yes, he eventually came back, but it seemed like all of the distractions, plus a few injuries really changed the golfer many thought was indestructible.
