Pau Gasol Is the Best Big Man in the NBA

Every superhero needs a sidekick and Gasol has played the sidekick role to perfection. Gasol is Robin to Kobe Bryant's Batman and that formula has led to back-to-back championships. Gasol was drafted by the Atlanta Hawks with the third overall pick but his rights were traded to Memphis. During his tenure with the Grizzles, he won the Rookie of the Year award and led the team to the playoffs but could not get past the first round. As Memphis stopped winning games, they decided that Gasol's contract was not worth keeping. They shipped Gasol to the Los Angeles Lakers for Kwame Brown, Javaris Crittenton, Aaron Mckie, Marc Gasol, and a couple of first round picks. Kobe Bryant was already the leader and the "man" for the Lakers, so the transition for Gasol was much easier. Both players were looking for more help and they got it in each other. This has led LA to two straight championships. Many believe Dwight Howard is the best big man in the league and they have the right to argue for Superman's case but I'm here to argue for Gasol's case. Here are the reasons why Gasol is the best big man in basketball. Begin Slideshow
