Nick Young Has a New Haircut Inspired by ‘Booty Call,’ And It’s a Whole Thing

After spending the last several weeks dueling media personalities and getting thrown under the bus, Los Angeles Lakers guard Nick Young was probably looking for a fresh start when he walked into the barbershop this week.

His intentions were likely pure as he sat down in the chair and looked in the mirror.

“What do I want?” he might’ve asked, rhetorically. “I want the old-school J-Foxx.”

And thus, we have Nick Young’s new haircut: a conglomeration of curls, twists and braids allegedly inspired by Booty Call.

Young arrived at practice Wednesday wearing the new look, receiving mixed reviews. Los Angeles Lakers head coach Byron Scott wasn’t feeling it, according to ESPNLosAngeles.com's Arash Markazi:

But what does Scott know about these things?

Swaggy said Jamie Foxx inspired him to switch things up:

Or was it Kid ‘N Play?

I vote Rae Sremmurd.

In any case, Young’s hair is here, and barring some serious second-guessing, he’s keeping it for a while.

As for Young’s health, CBS Sports’ Ted Leshinski reports the Lakers shooting guard will miss his 12th straight game due to knee problems Thursday. I can only guess Young’s haircut is part of a roundabout way to affect the game while on the bench.

It’s like the New York Yankees pinstripes: They can’t shoot if they can’t take their eyes off the 'do.

Dan is on Twitter. He once grew his hair out in high school. Huge mistake.
