New Orleans Pelicans vs. Los Angeles Lakers: Live Score, Highlights and Analysis

The Los Angeles Lakers (4-5) torched the New Orleans Pelicans (3-5), 116-95, on Tuesday thanks to a career-high 21 points from Jordan Hill and five double-figure scorers.

Hill, who nabbed his first start of the season, made the most of extended run, adding 11 rebounds, two steals and a block to his final line.

However, the Lakers wouldn't have cruised to victory without the play of their bench, which produced 56 points in the win.

Nick Young led all bench scorers with 17 points on 7-of-11 shooting while Xavier Henry bounced back with a quality performance, dropping in 15 points on 6-of-8 shooting while providing an absolute posterization of Pelicans center Jeff Withey.

It's safe to say that Henry's slam is currently the frontrunner for dunk of the year.

Overall, the Lakers shot 55.7 percent from the field and 55 percent (11-of-20) from three. Pau Gasol added 14 points (6-of-10 shooting) and eight rebounds in a tidy and efficient performance.

For New Orleans, offense was hard to come by all night long.

Anthony Davis, who torched the Lakers last Friday to the tune of 32 points and six blocks, struggled with foul trouble throughout and mustered just 15 points and five rebounds in 26 minutes.

Eric Gordon led the Pelicans with 17 points on 5-of-13 shooting, but consistent production eluded Monty Williams' squad on Tuesday, evident by a combined 6-of-24 shooting from Jrue Holiday (seven points) and Tyreke Evans (11 points).

Next up for the Pelicans is a meeting with the winless Utah Jazz while the Lakers are set to travel to Denver for a showdown with the Nuggets on Wednesday night.
