ESPN.com's Bradford Doolittle (Insider Protected) sees Nash as a perfect fit for the Lakers next year and I happen to wholeheartedly agree.
Sessions looked decent enough in the regular season after coming over from the Cleveland Cavaliers, but once the playoffs began he quickly became exposed as a fraud.
He is atrocious at defending quick guards, and don't even get me started about his lackluster efforts on the offensive side of the ball.
The Lakers have a limited window left to compete for a title. Kobe Bryant isn't getting any younger. He will turn 34 in August, and with his myriad of health problems over the last few years, it's clear he has a limited shelf life.
It's truly a shame that the team wasn't able to get Chris Paul last year, though it certainly tried.
We know that the Lakers have an enormous payroll, thus all the talk about Pau Gasol possibly getting traded this summer. That being said, they would be wise to consider bringing in Nash, even if the price tag is a bit higher than what they would pay for Sessions.
Nash isn't going to make a difference on defense, but adding him would exponentially help the Lakers on the offensive side of the ball. He is one of the best point guards in the history of the NBA at setting up his teammates for easy buckets.
He would take a ton of pressure off of Kobe by allowing him to run free without the burden of having to handle the ball in crunch time. Kobe clearly didn't trust Sessions in the playoffs, but he'd surely trust Nash to make solid decisions.
Nash would also be a huge help to Andrew Bynum. His ability to get the ball into his teammates' hands at the right time will allow Bynum to become much more decisive in the paint. Too often this year, we saw Bynum receivi...
