Los Angeles Lakers: Twitter Roundup After Loss to Warriors

The Los Angeles Lakers made it a game, but as the phrase goes, it was too little, too late. Golden State was faster and much more intense in the first half. Despite squandering a huge lead, the Warriors held on to beat the Lakers 109-103. Los Angeles is still one game ahead of the Utah Jazz for the final playoff spot in the West.

Even though the Lakers battled back in the fourth, there is hardly a sense of accomplishment as a result of this game. The mood on Twitter is not exactly upbeat. Here are a few choice quotes after the loss.

From Lakers sideline reporter Mike Trudell:

Regardless of this outcome, LAL will again lament its 1st half intensity. GSW, who'd lost 6 straight to LAL, was the aggressor.

— Mike Trudell (@LakersReporter) March 26, 2013 Indeed. In the first half, the Lakers really looked like they were going to get run off the floor. Intensity was lacking and the Warriors were literally able to score at will. The Lakers website echoed this sentiment:

The Lakers make a late push in the 4th but can't dig out of the hole, falling in the first game of the road trip 109-103 at GSW.

The Lakers gave up 109 points,  and it could have been higher if Golden State shot better in the fourth quarter. The Warriors combined for 66 points in the second and third quarters.
