Los Angeles Lakers Rumors: Latest Buzz Surrounding the Lake Show

The Los Angeles Lakers may have been eliminated from the 2012 NBA Playoffs, but that doesn't mean Kobe Bryant's team isn't still grabbing headlines. Here's the latest news out there regarding the 17-time NBA champions.

Pau Gasol Denies Interest in Chicago Trade

Bulls.com's own Sam Smith broke the news last week that according to "Lakers insiders" he had talked with, Gasol had expressed interest in a trade to the Chicago Bulls. The Spaniard has since denied ever doing so, telling Mark Medina of the Los Angeles Times:

Gasol expressed to Medina that he would like to stay in Los Angeles and help the Lakers win more championships "as soon as possible."

The Kentucky Wildcat product and projected No. 1 overall pick in this year's NBA Draft recently talked on the Dan Patrick Show and surprisingly had a few words regarding the Lakers' superstar.

Patrick asked Davis if there were any guys currently in the league he'd like to guard against and Bryant immediately came to the big man's mind:

With New Orleans likely to take Davis with the first overall pick, Bryant probably can't wait to face the Hornets next year.
