Los Angeles Lakers Expected To Roll Over The Philadelphia 76ers Tonight

The Los Angeles Lakers will look to snap a two game home losing streak when they host the Philadelphia 76ers on New Year's Eve.

The Lakers ended a three game losing streak with a 103-88 win at New Orleans on Wednesday. The 76ers will look for their second straight win on the road tonight, as they went into Phoenix and beat the Suns 123-110.

The Lakers beat the 76ers 93-81 earlier this month at Philadelphia, and looking at the NBA spreads for this game, the oddsmakers have the Lakers favored by 9.5 points over the 76ers at home.

Iguodala had 18 points, six rebounds, and six assists against the Lakers earlier this season.

Philadelphia went with an eight-man rotation against the Suns in their last game and really looked sharp, as seven different players scored in double figures. Jrue Holiday led the way with 25 points and seven assists, while rookie Evan Turner had his best game of the season with 23 points.

Turner led a Philadelphia bench that scored 48 points in the win.

The Lakers decided to make a switch to the starting lineup before their last game with the Hornets, as Andrew Bynum moved back into the starting lineup, while Lamar Odom went to the bench.

The move seemed to help both players, as Odom scored a game-high 24 points, while Andrew Bynum had a season-high 18 points.

Kobe Bryant had his best shooting night in his last six games, hitting 8-14 from the field for 20 points, but needs to take better care of the basketball, as he had seven turnovers.

The Lakers usually dominate at home, but are just 12-6 at the Staples Center this season. Philadelphia is just 5-13 on the road, but are 3-3 so far on their current ...
