Lakers’ Star Metta World Peace Will Dabble in Awesome on Yo Gabba Gabba!

Nick Jr.'s Yo Gabba Gabba! is about to get a heaping dose of Metta World Peace.

The Lakers star will feature on this hit children's show Sunday, August 19 with his daughter Diamond World Peace.

Pro Basketball Talk also chimes in on the enigmatic basketball player featuring on a show that is right in his wheelhouse of strange.

Even those without kids may have caught at least a glimpse of this amazing show that combines the usual complement of kid's show bizarre with remarkable celebrity guests and terrific music.

The show is hosted by DJ Lance Rock and has had a wide array of great cameos before the man formerly known as Ron Artest descends upon it.

There is this fine ditty from Chromeo that has me wanting to head to the sink and wash my hands.

If that doesn't strike your fancy, consider this moment of Mos Def playing a real superhero (1:26 mark), bringing a great deal of swagger to a ridiculous outfit.

And finally, there is Biz Markie who gives tips in dropping proper beats. Really, is there anyone out there who doesn't smile when they see and hear the legendary Biz Markie?

As for World Peace, there is no word as to what his role will be on the Sunday episode which will air at 8:30 p.m. ET.

Something tells me it will be his kind of bizarre and wacky.

There are two extremes when it comes to MWP. There is the negative side that acts out in the form of errant elbows and rampages into stands.

There is also the gentle awesome side that comes out in his dedication to mental health awareness and his accessibility with fans.

Here is yet another example of how amazing and wonderful he can be. It also marks a must-see episode of Yo Gabba Gabba!
