As good as the Lakers looked last night, they have to continue to play at this level on a consistent basis. Los Angeles is still just 3-4 in their last seven games and it seems like every time they get something going they fall find a way to struggle.
It will be interesting to see how the Lakers respond playing a team like Phoenix in the second game of a back-to-back. The Lakers haven't had much success stopping the Suns in the two games this season.
The Lakers allowed the Suns to make 22 three-point shots in the last game between these two teams, and if they let Phoenix get going from downtown tonight, the Lakers are going to be in trouble.
The good news for the Lakers is it appears they have caught the Suns at the right time. While the Suns have been better on the defensive side of the ball since the trade that brought in Vince Carter, Mickael Pietrus and Marcin Gortat, they can't seem to find a way to win games.
