Kobe Bryant’s Final All-Star Game Jersey Sold for $100K, Sets NBA Auction Record

Everything Kobe Bryant touches turns to gold. Any doubts? Here's some definitive proof.

The Los Angeles Lakers legend found a new way to shatter records Thursday night when his 2016 All-Star Game jersey sold for an astounding $100,040 via NBA Auctions.

In case you were wondering, that's essentially twice the price of the previous record, according to Sports Illustrated—$50,040 for the first jersey LeBron James wore upon his return to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Too rich for your blood? Fortunately, you still have options.

For the comparatively modest price of about $1,100, you can purchase the shorts the Black Mamba donned in his 18th and final All-Star outing.

Come April 13, however, it's unlikely any sort of wallet breaks will be given. When Bryant steps off the hardwood at the Staples Center for the last time, expect even his socks to be worth a fortune.
