Kobe Bryant’s 1963 Chevrolet Impala Being Auctioned Off on eBay

Game-worn jerseys are overrated.

If you want to really feel like an NBA player, you've got to commit. It's not just the shoes, the uniforms, the obnoxiously large shades or the capris—but the lifestyle. Luckily, Kobe Bryant has you covered if you're falling behind on the latter.

Yahoo! Sports' Kelly Dwyer spotted the Black Mamba's 1963 Chevy Impala, rebuilt and restored by West Coast Customs, on eBay. Per eBay, you can enter the auctioning frenzy with a starting bid of $100,000:

Built by West Coast Customs late 2006 as a Christmas Gift to Kobe Bryant from his wife Vanessa.   This one of a kind 1963 Chevrolet Impala Convertible Lowrider is now being offered for sale. Complete restoration on a rust-free vehicle, taken down to bare metal prior to painting.  The car was completely disassembled prior to paint and reassembled using new glass, re-plated chrome and new stainless steel trim pieces.  Very Recent Tuneup and Complete Battery Replacement.

Those who don't have six figures of extra scratch lying around needn't fret. Financing is available. Low monthly payments are advertised on the page as well, pending a credit check of course.

For what will probably be lower than your mortgage payment—though maybe not—you can drive around in style—like the Mamba used to—but apparently doesn't want to anymore.

That's what gets me most here. In my experience, reselling a Christmas gift from your significant other has always seemed like a bad idea.

Wives and girlfriends can be sensitive; pawn their well-thought-out present, and you might as well sleep on the couch—or in Bryant's case, one of his other 25 bedrooms.

Bryant might just be that smooth a talker, though. Maybe he's promised Vanessa a cut of the sale or plans to use the cash to buy her jewelry or a pet giraffe.
