Kobe Bryant Video: Watch Lakers Star Make Insane Trick Shot

Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers knocked down a ridiculous trick shot Sunday night against the Phoenix Suns.

Early in the first quarter, the megastar was guarded by Suns forward Grant Hill. Kobe pump-faked past the veteran and fired a line drive off the backboard. Bryant took three steps toward the basket, jumped, caught the pass from himself and put it in the basket for an easy two points, while simultaneously drawing an "OHHHH!" from the home crowd.

Shots like this aren't all that uncommon to see late in blowouts, but what was so shocking about this one was that the score was just 10-9 when Bryant attempted it; it wasn't a necessary shot, since he'd already gotten past Grant Hill and had an uncontested jumper at the top of the key.

Kobe would finish the game with 25 points, but dished out 14 assists on the night as well. However, Bryant's trickeration would prove to be futile, as the Suns rallied from the early deficit to knock off the Lakers, 121-116.

The loss was LA's second in a row after opening the season 8-0, and was its first home loss of the season. Jason Richardson of the Suns led all scorers with 35 points, while Phoenix point guard Steve Nash dropped 21 and added 13 assists.

Kobe's shot may not have been a dunk, but it was without a doubt one of the craziest shots of the season so far, and looked like something out of a game of HORSE.
