Kobe Bryant the Pianist Plays ‘Moonlight Sonata’ in New Lenovo Ad

Is there anything Kobe Bryant can't do?

We know he can defy the laws of gravity, win championships and MVPs. Now we're seeing he can play Beethoven's "Moonlight Sonata" on the piano while simultaneously driving Lenovo's stock through the roof.

Multitasking at its best, no doubt.

In its latest commercial, Lenovo doesn't try to sway you with images of polished gadgets or promises of technological grandeur. There is just Kobe serenading you on the piano, looking dapper in a suit and tie.

"Lenovo is the fastest-growing mobile brand in the world," he says. "They always know how to deliver an incredible performance, and today is no exception."

If that' so, incredible performances are something Kobe and one of his many financial backers have in common. He's left us stunned on the basketball court more times than we can count, and now he's delivering another dazzling display as a musically refined Black Mamba.

And when a piano-playing Kobe gives his stamp of approval, you listen—again.

This isn't the first time he's headlined the most creative of Lenovo endorsements. When the Los Angeles Lakers clinched a seventh-seeded postseason berth, the then-34-year-old rewarded his teammates with a fresh batch of Lenovo laptops.

— Steve Blake (@SteveBlake5) April 20, 2013 Nothing says "reliable performance" like an excited Steve Blake. Just like no one sells anything and everything quite like Kobe.

So purchase your Kobe-backed gizmos with confidence. That way, Lenovo can designate more of its profits to uncovering another one of the Kobe's hidden talents.
