Kobe Bryant Gets a New Tattoo, Posts Picture on Instagram

Entering the 2012-13 NBA regular season, it appeared as if Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers had a good chance to add another championship ring to his collection. After tearing his Achilles' tendon and watching his team lose in the first round, however, that failed dream came to fruition.

As a consolation, Kobe opted to settle for some new ink.

We now have visual evidence of Bryant's new permanent art.

Given the familial bent the rest of his tattoos have taken, it's not surprising that he chose to adorn his right forearm with the names of his two daughters, Gianna Maria and Natalia Diamante. And because he's a literalist, he tossed a diamond right under Natalia.

Now fully apprised of the details, we can all get back to business as usual.

---End of update---

Bryant posted a photograph of the process on his personal Instagram account. As one might expect, the Mamba displayed no signs of pain.

The legend of Kobe's pain threshold continues.

Recently, Bryant took to Twitter to ask the members of his loyal fanbase what they believed he should get. Before they could offer up a definitive answer, the five-time NBA champion offered up a suggestion of his own.

A rosary.

It didn't take much time for Bryant to get it done.

There's something to be said about a man who garners this much media attention for getting a tattoo. After all, we are in the midst of the 2013 NBA playoffs.

When you're as accomplished as Bryant, however, the news is bound to circulate, no matter what he does. This time around, it just happens to be about a new tattoo.
