How Can the L.A. Lakers Replace Pau Gasol in the 2012 NBA Draft?

The L.A. Lakers are in desperate need of a roster makeover, and with the 2012 NBA draft approaching, there’s no better time to start looking towards the future.

With Pau Gasol representing the team’s biggest asset on the trade market, GM Mitch Kupchak could look to move into the first round to snag a talented prospect.

But which big man would best fill the Lakers’ frontcourt needs?  

Two stalwarts from the Big Ten offer great rebounding ability and potential.  Jared Sullinger dominated the pivot for two seasons at Ohio State, showcasing a soft touch and crashing the boards.  Meyers Leonard of Illinois is more of an unknown, but his upside has impressed NBA scouts.
