Detroit Pistons vs. Los Angeles Lakers: Live Score and Analysis

After trailing 56-50 at halftime, the Los Angeles Lakers (5-7) would go on to outscore the Detroit Pistons (3-6) 64 to 43 in the second half to win their fifth game of the season by a final score of 114-99.

Jordan Hill had a monster game for the Lakers, putting up a career-high in points (24) and rebounds (17). Steve Blake also had a stellar performance of his own, handing out 16 assists and stealing the ball four times.

Detroit would come out of the gates forcefully, shooting 62.5 percent from the field in the first half, however, their 10 turnovers kept Los Angeles close throughout. They went ice cold in the final 24 minutes, dropping that percentage to 48.3.

Brandon Jennings led the Pistons with a double-double of 23 points and 14 assists, including a play of the season candidate alley-oop off the backboard to Andre Drummond (14 points and 13 rebounds) near the end of the second quarter.

Los Angeles had strong outings from a number of their wing players, as Jodie Meeks (19 points, four three-pointers), Nick Young (19 points, one steal) and Wesley Johnson (13 points and two assists) all contributed for the Lakers. 

The team would score the final 10 points of the third quarter to take a 79-71 lead into the fourth, capped off with a three-pointer by Jordan Farmar as time was expiring.

They never looked back from there.
