Baron Davis Mocks Comeback Process in Video with Steve Nash

Two-time All-Star point guard Baron Davis is working his way back to the court...or at least having a good time with the idea. He premiered a humorous video, entitled "The Comeback," Thursday evening on TNT:



In the clip, he is working out with a currently employed NBA point guard: Steve Nash of the Los Angeles Lakers. Nash has spent much of the past two seasons rehabbing various injuries, including chronic back problems and nerve-root irritation stemming from a fractured fibula suffered during 2012.

The sports website Grantland is producing a series of documentary shorts chronicling Nash's battle to come back from his myriad injuries. The first episode debuted Thursday:



It would seem that Nash hasn't lost his sense of humor during the long and grueling rehabilitation process, as he was still able to joke about it with Davis in the TNT video.

So is Davis really serious about making a comeback? The soon-to-be 35-year-old last played with the New York Knicks in the 2012 playoffs. He weighed in on the subject of a possible return during the 2013 Summer League, when he spoke to MSG Network's Alan Hahn (h/t Sulia). "My whole thing is to get in the best shape of my life and by September or October be ready to showcase my talent and try out for whoever I need to try out for," he said. "I think the most important thing is being in shape.

Of course, September and October have long since past, and Davis still doesn't have a job. Yahoo! Sports' Kelly Dwyer explored the reasons for Davis' troubles during the summer:
