2010 NBA Offseason: Los Angeles Lakers To Re-Sign Shannon Brown

Since Raja Bell has recently joined the Utah Jazz over the Lakers, L.A. is now nearing towards re-signing high flyer Shannon Brown.

Brown gave Lakers fans a show everytime the he went on the court.

With electrifying dunks one after another including the "best missed dunk" over Jason Richardson of the Phoenix Suns in the 2010 Western Conference Finals. Brown opted out of his contract to possibly get a raise for the 2010-2011 NBA season. But with Raja Bell signing with the Jazz the Lakers can now pursue Shannon Brown.

Brown, 24, played 82 games for the Lakers, and averaged a career-high 8.1 points and 20 minutes last season. “Mitch [Kupchak] and I have been talking and we’re getting there on something,” said Brown’s agent, Mark Bartelstein.

Brown was a dissapointment in the 2010 Slam Dunk Competition during All-Star Weekend, but the whole competition was a dissapointment with fans calling it "the worst dunk contest ever."

We hope to see Brown back with the Lakers and giving us more of his amazing dunking ability in the 2010-2011 NBA season.
