The Kings won both of the first two games in New Jersey 2-1 in overtime before crushing the Devils 4-0 in Game 3.
Goalie Jonathan Quick has been simply incredible during the playoffs. So far he has posted a 15-2 record, with an incredible 1.36 goals against average and a 95 percent save percentage. He has also posted three shutouts. Through 17 games Quick has allowed just 24 goals.
The Devils dominated most of the play in Game 2 but just couldn't break through against Quick for a second goal to win the game. Instead, Jeff Carter tallied an overtime goal for the Kings to take a 2-0 lead going back to Los Angeles.
In Game 3 it looked like New Jersey was suffering a big hangover from the disappointment that came from the Game 2 loss. It had to be incredibly disheartening for the Devils to have played so well in Game 2 and and still come up short.
The Kings dominated Game 3, and guys like Anze Kopitar, Drew Doughty and Justin Williams all had their best games of the series. That's dangerous for New Jersey.
Los Angeles really just survived through the first two games but got rolling in Game 3. The Kings will carry that momentum into Game 4 and should blow past the Devils to take home their first Stanley Cup.
