NHL Betting Preview: Los Angeles Kings vs. San Jose Sharks Odds, Analysis

The road team has won each of the first four meetings between the Los Angeles Kings (45-25-5) and San Jose Sharks (41-28-6) heading into the final regular-season game in the series at the SAP Center on Monday.

With just five games remaining, the Kings hope to take one step closer to winning the Pacific Division as consensus minus-105 road underdogs (bet $105 to win $100), at sportsbooks monitored by Odds Shark, when they visit the Sharks, who are also closing in on a playoff berth.

Los Angeles and the Anaheim Ducks have already clinched playoff spots, currently sitting in the top two spots in the Pacific. Meanwhile, San Jose resides in third place, which may end up working to the team’s advantage in a potential playoff matchup with Anaheim.

That’s because the Sharks have been a much better road team, going 25-10-3 compared to 16-18-3 at home, where they have also dropped three in a row.

The Kings just snapped a three-game losing streak of their own with a 6-4 win over the Edmonton Oilers on Saturday. All three losses took place on the road following a four-game winning streak that saw them split those at and away from home.

Los Angeles leads Anaheim by three points for the division lead but has also played one more game. The Kings have won three straight at the Shark Tank overall dating back to last season.

Four of the past five meetings in the series have been decided by two goals or more. However, the last one was a 3-2 victory for Los Angeles on January 24, with San Jose closing as a minus-128 home favorite.

The over is 2-0-3 in the last five head-to-head matchups after the under went 3-1 in the previous four. The over has also cashed in two straight for the Sharks overall following a 7-1-1 run for the under, according to the Odds Shark NHL Database.
